What is piano transfer and how is it different from a standard removal?

Piano transfer is specialist transport for upright and grand pianos, using dedicated equipment, trained crews and route planning. Unlike general removals, every stage is planned around weight distribution, cabinet protection and safe access.

How do you collect a piano from my home?

We survey access where needed, protect floors and doorways, then move with specialist skids, straps and crew sizes matched to your piano and stairs.

Do you take the piano apart for transport?

Only when necessary and always following manufacturer guidance - legs, lyres and lids may be removed for safety, with hardware carefully packed and reassembled on delivery.

Is my piano insured during the move?

Yes - carriage is covered under our policies with documentation provided. We will walk through values and exclusions before you confirm a booking.

Can you store my piano between house purchase dates?

Absolutely - our climate-controlled storage is designed for gaps between completions, with flexible weekly billing after an initial complimentary period.

Do you work with concert halls and stage managers?

Regularly - we coordinate loading docks, time windows, lifts and tuning schedules with your production team to avoid surprises on show days.

What areas of the UK do you cover?

We operate UK-wide for removals, dedicated long-distance transport and storage. International moves are not offered at present.

How quickly can I get a quote?

Most enquiries receive a tailored response within one business day. Complex venue or access jobs may require a short survey first.

Do you tune the piano after delivery?

Tuning is not included as standard, but we can recommend trusted technicians and coordinate timing so the instrument settles before service.
